Oyo's Ex Governor, Ladoja, Grieves the Loss of His Wife

Former governor of Oyo State and the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja has suffered a personal loss with the passing of his wife, Tinuade Ladoja.

She died at the age of 71 on Monday morning, October 14th, 2024, following a brief illness. The news was confirmed by Adeola Oloko, the media aide to the former governor, during a telephone interview with PUNCH Online in Ibadan.

Tinuade was a respected member of the Pastor-in-Council of the Celestial Church of Christ, the highest decision-making body of the church. Her death was also acknowledged by the CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, where she was an active parishioner, through a heartfelt post on their Facebook page: "It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We submit to His will. #farewell."
