Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has voiced concerns over President Bola Tinubu's extended absence from the country.
Originally scheduled for a two-week working vacation starting October 2, 2024, in the United Kingdom, President Tinubu's leave has now surpassed its intended duration, with reports indicating his subsequent travel to Paris for an "important engagement."
Peter Obi's critique centers on the pressing domestic issues that remain unaddressed due to the president's prolonged absence. He emphasized the "untold hardship" faced by Nigerians, attributing these challenges to government policies that require immediate attention.
Obi stated, "One would have expected him to return earlier than expected, considering the volume of work that needs to be done in a troubled nation like ours."
