
The Job Creation and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Secretariat, under the Office of the Vice-President of Nigeria, has partnered with renowned musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface.
This collaboration aims to galvanize public support for the MSMEs sector, leveraging Tuface's influence to enhance citizen participation in various initiatives.
The partnership was formalized in Abuja, where Tuface was appointed as the Brand Ambassador for job creation and MSMEs.
Tola Adekunle-Johnson, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, emphasized the significance of this alliance, stating, "This partnership with Tuface will help galvanize private sector support for public sector initiatives aimed at creating jobs and supporting businesses."
Tuface expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, acknowledging the government's efforts to empower youth and small businesses. He remarked, "I appreciate the vote of confidence, It is a very good move in a good direction."
He further highlighted the potential impact of this collaboration, noting that it could significantly benefit individuals, communities, and the nation as a whole.
The initiative focuses on promoting key programs such as the National MSMEs Awards, Expanded National MSMEs Clinics, and Shared Hubs for MSMEs Initiative.
By targeting the youth demographic, the partnership seeks to foster a robust ecosystem for MSMEs, encouraging entrepreneurial growth and economic development across Nigeria.
Sarah Ajayi, Deputy Director at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), commented on the choice of Tuface as a brand ambassador, saying, "Entertainment is what attracts the youth, so having Tuface as our brand ambassador is a good one."
Chukwuemeka Nwakile, Acting Group Regional Manager at Access Bank Plc., reiterated the bank's commitment to empowering youth through job creation, assuring that they would actively support the government's initiatives.
