Former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Charles Udeogaranya, has accused President Tinubu of committing an impeachable offense by attending the Arab-Islamic Summit. This participation is seen as a "gross violation" of Nigeria's Constitution, which Udeogaranya argues could warrant impeachment.

Udeogaranya's critique centers on the assertion that Nigeria, being a secular state with a Christian-majority population, should not engage in political alliances that suggest religious alignment. He contends that President Tinubu's representation at the summit drags Nigeria into an international alignment that does not reflect its constitutional or national identity.
Udeogaranya stated, “To unilaterally drag Nigeria into Arab and Islamic nation’s affairs is a grievous disparaging of the Nigerian people and its Constitution.”
This incident highlights ongoing tensions between religious identities and political alignments in Nigeria's international relations. Udeogaranya emphasized Nigeria's historical support for Israel, urging the National Assembly to advise the President against further engagements of this nature. He remarked, “The majority of Nigerians stand firmly with Israel,” calling for leaders to maintain the nation’s established international stance.
