President Bola Tinubu has restructured the State House media and communications team.

This reorganization involves the promotion of three special advisers who will now serve as official government spokespersons.

Sunday Dare, previously holding the role of Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications.

Daniel Bwala, formerly the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, is now the Special Adviser on Policy Communication. These changes were announced in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

President Tinubu emphasized that this approach aims to ensure "effective and consistent communication of government policies, decisions, and engagements."

He further stated that the appointments highlight the importance of coherent and unified messaging from the government, noting that "there is no single individual spokesperson for the Presidency."
