President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to travel to France on Monday, as confirmed by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale.

The announcement was made in a brief statement issued on Sunday night, which noted that all arrangements for the trip have been finalized.

Ngelale stated, "The president will be departing from Abuja for a brief work stay in France and will return shortly after." However, the specific purpose of the trip remains undisclosed.

This development comes on the heels of President Tinubu's recent directive aimed at reducing the number of government officials attending the upcoming United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

The directive, which seeks to cut down on bloated governance costs, was communicated by the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajiabiamila, during a one-day retreat organized for heads of agencies under the presidency.
