Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is set to make his debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2025.
Joining him on this prestigious stage is Afrobeat maestro Seun Kuti, who will be making a return to the globally celebrated festival. The organizers have also announced that Ghanaian singer Amaarae and South Africa’s Tyla will represent Africa alongside the Nigerian stars.
Coachella, held annually in California, USA, is more than just a festival—it’s a cultural phenomenon. With over 125,000 attendees, it has earned its place as the biggest music and arts festival in the world, showcasing performances from the biggest names across genres.
Seun Kuti holds the distinction of being the first Nigerian to grace the Coachella stage back in 2012. Since then, Nigerian acts like Mr Eazi, Burna Boy (2019), Ckay (2022), and Tems (2024) have carried the torch, putting Afrobeat on the global map.
Rema’s inclusion in the 2025 lineup further cements his status as a leading figure in African music. Known for his global hits like "Calm Down," the Prince of Afro-rave continues to push boundaries, proving that Nigerian talent remains unstoppable on the international scene.
