Repent or we send you to your creator — Matawalle warns bandits’ informants

The Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, has issued a stern warning to those aiding bandits by leaking military movements.

During his visit to Gundumi village in Sokoto state on October 10, Matawalle emphasized the moral imperative for these informants to "fear God" and desist from their actions, or else they would be "sent back to [their] creator."

Matawalle's remarks underscore the critical need for community involvement in combating terrorism. He called upon the public to support efforts against banditry, highlighting that this fight is not solely the responsibility of government and security agencies but requires the collective will of all Nigerians.

The minister also stressed the pivotal role of journalists in countering bandit propaganda, urging media houses to report on the successes achieved by the military.
