The campaign plane of Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, was forced to make an emergency landing.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737 famously dubbed "Trump Force Two," experienced a door-seal malfunction shortly after takeoff from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The incident occurred as Vance, accompanied by his wife Usha, their dog, and several campaign staffers, was returning to Cincinnati after addressing the Milwaukee Police Association.
According to Taylor Van Kirk, a representative from Vance's campaign, "The pilot detected the malfunction soon after takeoff, prompting an immediate return to the Milwaukee airport for an emergency landing."
Fortunately, the issue was resolved in under an hour, allowing the flight to continue to Cincinnati without further incident.
An airport spokesperson confirmed, "The plane taxied without incident under its own power."
This event adds to a growing list of technical issues plaguing Boeing 737 aircraft this year.
Previous incidents include a door-plug blowout on an Alaska Airlines flight in January and other problems involving engine covers and tires.
These recurring issues have raised concerns about the safety and reliability of Boeing 737 models.
