The Russian embassy in Paris has criticized French authorities for their lack of cooperation following the arrest of Pavel Durov, the owner of the popular messaging platform Telegram.

Durov, who holds dual Russian and other nationalities, was detained at Paris Le Bourget airport on Saturday.
He is expected to face court on Sunday for offenses related to his platform.

The Russian embassy has demanded an explanation for Durov's detention and assurances that his rights will be protected.
However, they claim that French officials have been uncooperative. "We are seeking clarity on the reasons behind Mr. Durov's arrest and expect full protection of his legal rights," stated a representative from the Russian embassy.
