Arsenal defender William Saliba will miss the upcoming Premier League clash against Liverpool after receiving a red card in Arsenal's match against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The incident occurred during the first half when Saliba was initially shown a yellow card by referee Rob Jones for a foul on Bournemouth striker Evanilson.

However, following a VAR review, the decision was upgraded to a red card as it was determined that Saliba's foul denied an obvious goal-scoring opportunity.

This means Saliba will be suspended for the match against Liverpool on October 27th, 2024. Despite this setback, he will be available for Arsenal's Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek.
