Report emerged on Tuesday that the Senate has reaffirmed its support for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria.
During an oversight visit to JAMB headquarters, Sen. Muntari Dandutse, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund, emphasized the committee's commitment to aiding JAMB in its mission to enhance Nigeria’s education sector.

He stated, "We will continue to work collaboratively to secure the resources and legislative backing needed to propel JAMB to greater heights."
Dandutse highlighted JAMB's pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape by coordinating and facilitating admissions into tertiary institutions.
He praised the Board's dedication to fairness, transparency, and accessibility, which is evident through various reforms such as digital registration processes, biometric verification, and streamlined testing procedures. These advancements have not only improved the efficiency of the admission process but also restored confidence in JAMB, positioning Nigeria among global leaders in educational assessments.
The Senate Committee is actively working to elevate the educational system to international standards, aiming to reduce student migration to other countries. Dandutse assured that efforts would be made to ensure accessibility to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers across the country, particularly in less accessible regions.
