Senate to Resume Screening of Ministerial Nominees, Bianca, Jumoke, Others

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday officially resumed the screening process for ministerial nominees submitted by President Bola Tinubu. The screening, initially scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, was postponed to ensure thorough preparations.


The session commenced at 1:10 pm on Wednesday, with a list of seven nominees presented for evaluation. These individuals are poised to fill important roles within President Tinubu's cabinet.


Leading the screening was Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda from Plateau State, followed by other prominent figures such as Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and Suwaiba Said Ahmad.

A Senate spokesperson emphasized the importance of this screening, stating, "This screening is crucial to ensuring the best candidates assume these important roles."
