Senator Ndume Urges Tinubu to Tackle Soaring Fuel and Food Prices

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, has called on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the escalating costs of food and energy in Nigeria.

The senator's plea comes amidst growing concerns over the severe economic hardship faced by many Nigerians due to rising prices.

Speaking from Borno State, Ndume highlighted the dire situation, stating, "In Borno State, many families can’t afford to eat.

The relentless price increases have created unimaginable hardship." He pointed out that the high transportation costs are exacerbating the problem, making it difficult for farmers to transport their goods and forcing them to raise prices, which further burdens consumers.

Ndume expressed his belief in President Tinubu's intentions to improve the lives of Nigerians but warned that some of the President's advisers might be leading him astray with misguided advice.

"I believe President Bola Ahmed Tinubu genuinely wants to improve Nigeria and the lives of its citizens. However, some of his advisers may not have the best interests of the people at heart," he remarked.

The senator urged President Tinubu to resist these negative influences and take decisive action to alleviate the suffering of the populace. "Testing the patience of Nigerians is unwise, and that is precisely what these bad advisers are doing," Ndume cautioned.
