South Africa's Vice President, Paul Mashatile, experienced a health scare recently when he collapsed during a public event in Limpopo. The incident occurred while Mashatile was delivering a speech at a gathering in Tzaneen, commemorating the inauguration of a local traditional leader. The extreme heat during his address was identified as the primary cause of his collapse.

Immediate medical attention was provided to Mashatile, and Phophi Ramathuba, the province’s premier and a medical doctor, was present during the incident.

Ramathuba reassured the public by stating, "The deputy president is fine, he is with his medical team. I was with them, he’s ok and there’s no need to worry." She further confirmed that Mashatile was not in danger and was under the care of his medical team.
