Taxi Driver Saves Woman from Suicide Attempt on Mumbai Bridge [VIDEO]

A taxi driver in Mumbai, India, displayed extraordinary reflexes to prevent a 56-year-old woman from committing suicide.

The event took place on the Atal Setu Bridge, also known as the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link.

The woman, identified as Reema Mukesh Patel, was seen sitting perilously on the edge of the bridge's security barrier.

Security camera footage captured the tense moments as Patel threw an unidentified object into the sea, seemingly ready to end her life.

Just as she jumped off the edge, the quick-thinking taxi driver rushed towards her and grabbed her hair, preventing her from falling into the water below.

The driver's heroic actions were immediately supported by nearby traffic police, who helped pull Patel back over the barrier to safety.

Despite his critical role in the rescue, the taxi driver's name has not been released.
