Tinubu Claims Terrorism, Banditry and Kidnapping will Soon End in the North

President Bola Tinubu has expressed a strong commitment to eradicating terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping in northern Nigeria.

During the 9th convocation ceremony of the Federal University, Dutsinma, held on November 3, 2024, in Katsina, he assured that these security challenges would soon be a thing of the past.
Represented by Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed, Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Dutste, Jigawa State, Tinubu emphasized that tackling insecurity is not solely the government's responsibility. He urged citizens to actively participate by providing valuable information to security operatives, stating, "Security is a collective responsibility."
Tinubu also highlighted the importance of youth engagement, encouraging them to take advantage of a loan scheme with over N70 billion disbursed to support their endeavors.
He remarked, "Governance is not about the presidency or those in places of leadership but about Nigeria and Nigerians, who will make the country better."
The event also saw the graduation of 297 postgraduate students from the university, with 18 earning Ph.Ds, 226 obtaining Masters, and 53 receiving professional Diplomas and PGDs.
Katsina Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, represented by Secretary to the state government, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, underscored the state's significant investments in education and ongoing strategies to enhance access to quality higher education.
In his address, Tinubu reassured Nigerians of the government's unwavering dedication to combating and defeating all forms of criminal activities, including terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry, across the nation.
