The Special Adviser to the President on Communication and Orientation, Sunday Dare addressed circulating rumors about a so-called "cabal" within Nigeria's presidency.

Dare firmly dismissed these claims, asserting that President Bola Tinubu is unequivocally in charge of the nation's governance.

Dare clarified that the individuals often referred to as a "cabal" are, in fact, key advisors who play crucial roles in providing the president with essential information for decision-making. "I think we’ve become so comfortable with the idea of the cabal," Dare remarked, emphasizing that these advisors are integral to the administration's operations, regularly briefing the president on critical issues.

To illustrate President Tinubu's decisive leadership, Dare highlighted a specific instance where the president canceled the Central Bank's cybersecurity tax.

This decision, according to Dare, exemplifies Tinubu's hands-on approach and his reliance on factual data to guide his actions.

"The President is 100 percent in charge and he has always been from day one," Dare stated, the president's authority and proactive governance style.
