The Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has asserted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is an "epitome of wealth" and has no interest in looting Nigeria's resources.

Speaking at the Joint Union Negotiating Council’s week of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development branch in Abuja, Olawande emphasized Tinubu's financial independence, stating, "President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not a pauper; he is an acknowledged epitome of wealth and so it cannot be said of him that he desires to loot the treasury of Nigeria."

Olawande urged Nigerians to be patient with the current administration, promising that positive changes would soon be evident. He remarked, "I urge you to be patient with this administration. In no distant time, the country will take good shape and the lives of the citizens will be transformed."

The minister highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to improve the lives of Nigerians through various policies and assured the ministry staff that their welfare would not be compromised.

This statement comes amid widespread scrutiny and criticism of Tinubu's wealth and his administration's handling of Nigeria's economic challenges. Despite allegations of corruption and oil theft under his government, supporters like Olawande maintain that Tinubu's substantial personal wealth negates any motive to exploit national resources for personal gain.
