First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu are set to lead a pivotal national prayer session aimed at addressing Nigeria's economic challenges.

This initiative, organized in collaboration with both Christian and Muslim religious leaders, seeks divine intervention under the theme "Seeking the Intervention of God in Nigeria’s Affairs."

The event is coordinated by Chief Segun Balogun Afolorunikan, Director General of the National Prayer Forum (NPF), who emphasized the importance of unity in overcoming the nation's crises.

The prayer sessions will span a week, with Muslims gathering at the National Mosque in Abuja, where 313 participants will recite the Qur’an, culminating in 2,191 recitations dedicated to national peace and stability.

Concurrently, Christians will convene at the National Ecumenical Centre, engaging in intense prayers led by various denominations focusing on Nigeria’s adversities.

Afolorunikan highlighted that extensive outreach efforts have been made, including engagements with the National Mosque, the Christian Association of Nigeria, and traditional leaders such as the Sultan of Sokoto, to ensure broad participation and support.

The organizers hope that this interfaith gathering will inspire a renewed sense of purpose and stability as Nigeria approaches 2025, fostering resilience among citizens and encouraging leaders to find lasting solutions for the nation’s ongoing challenges.
