President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate swap of pro-chancellors for two federal universities.
This strategic decision, announced involves Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba and Engineer Kayode Ojo exchanging their roles as pro-chancellors between the Federal University Lokoja and the Federal University Oye-Ekiti.
According to a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s media aide, "Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, currently serving as the Pro-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, will take over at Federal University Oye-Ekiti."
Meanwhile, "Engineer Kayode Ojo, who previously held a similar position at Oye-Ekiti, will assume the role in Lokoja." This leadership swap is part of President Tinubu's broader initiative to foster national unity through diverse leadership in educational institutions.
The administration believes that such changes in governance structures can significantly contribute to the operational effectiveness and management of federal universities, reflecting the diverse makeup of Nigeria.
