Comrade Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged President Bola Tinubu to immediately halt the demolition activities led by Minister Nyesom Wike in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Frank accuses Wike of unjustly targeting the homes of impoverished residents in Abuja, alleging that these demolitions are not only displacing vulnerable communities but also serving Wike's personal interests.
According to Frank, Wike is reallocating the revoked land plots to his allies, purportedly to raise funds for political influence in Rivers State.
This, he claims, is being done at the expense of addressing critical infrastructure needs in the FCT, such as healthcare, education, and renewable energy development.
"The Minister has continued to cause damage to Mr President’s government by his ill-timed demolitions," Frank stated, describing Wike’s actions as self-serving and detrimental to Tinubu’s administration.
Frank further warns that President Tinubu's silence on this matter could harm his reputation, emphasizing the need for decisive action to prevent further injustice and intimidation against FCT residents. He insists that removing Wike from his position could avert additional damage to the government's image and restore public trust.
