Tonto Dikeh In Car Purchase Mess

Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has found herself embroiled in a fresh controversy following her purchase of an N86 million car on credit from the popular Abuja automobile brand, Skyewise Group.

The incident, which has garnered significant attention on social media, began when Dikeh made an initial payment of N30 million for the luxurious vehicle, promising to complete the remaining balance of N56 million through monthly installments over three months. However, she failed to adhere to this agreement, leaving a substantial amount unpaid.

After several months of persuasion, Dikeh resumed payments in piecemeal fashion but still owed approximately N2 million after more than a year. The situation escalated when she took the car for servicing at the dealer's office in Maitama, Abuja, and was reminded of her outstanding balance.

This reminder did not sit well with Dikeh, who reportedly lost her temper, engaged in physical altercations with the staff, and caused significant property damage, including the destruction of television sets and other office fittings.

Despite attempts to calm her down, Dikeh continued her rampage, even assaulting the company's CEO, Dr. Elvis Abuyere, and threatening him with her connections.

The incident has been reported to the Nigerian police, and legal actions are being considered by Skyewise Automobile Company.

This controversy adds to Dikeh's history of public disputes, including a messy divorce with her ex-husband, Dr. Churchill, and a failed bid for the deputy governor position of Rivers State in the 2023 elections. The video of the incident has gone viral, attracting severe criticism from social media users and raising questions about her conduct as a public figure.
