Former President Donald Trump has vocally criticized CBS News, demanding that the network lose its broadcasting license following a contentious "60 Minutes" interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump accused CBS of manipulating the interview to favor Harris, alleging it was part of a broader "Fake News Scam." He expressed his grievances on his Truth Social platform, claiming that the network edited Harris' responses to enhance her image.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel responded to Trump's demands by denouncing his actions as "threats against free speech."

She emphasized that the FCC does not revoke licenses based on political disagreements or dissatisfaction with media coverage. Rosenworcel highlighted the importance of the First Amendment, stating, "As I’ve said before, the First Amendment is a cornerstone of our democracy."

This incident is not isolated, as Trump has a history of attacking media outlets he perceives as adversarial. Last year, he called for an investigation into Comcast, NBC News, and MSNBC's parent company, accusing them of "treason" over their coverage.

A.G. Sulzberger, publisher of The New York Times, warned about Trump's anti-press tactics, likening them to those used by authoritarian regimes worldwide.
