Trump Vows to take Legal Action Against Google for Posting Negative Stories About Him

Esther

Former U.S. President and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump declared his intention to prosecute Google if he wins the upcoming November 5 election.

Trump accused the tech giant of engaging in "illegal activity" by allegedly displaying only negative stories about him while suppressing positive information. He claimed that this behavior amounts to election interference.

Trump made these assertions in a post on Truth Social, stating, "It has been determined that Google has illegally used a system of only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump, some made up for this purpose while, at the same time, only revealing good stories about" others. He further emphasized, "This is an illegal activity, and hopefully the Justice Department will criminally prosecute them for this blatant interference of elections." Google has not yet responded to these allegations.

This is not the first time Trump has made such claims; back in 2019, he similarly accused Google of favoring negative news stories about him during the 2016 presidential election. At that time, Google dismissed his allegations.
