The 2024/25 UEFA Champions League play-off draw was held at 12:00 CET on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

Draw Procedure:

The draw followed a meticulous procedure based on Article 14 of the UEFA Champions League Regulations.

The qualifying phase and play-offs adhere to a knockout system, with each team playing home and away matches.

The draw involved an equal number of seeded and unseeded clubs, determined by club coefficient rankings established at the season's start.

For the Champions Path, ten teams were divided into five seeded and five unseeded groups. The seeding was based on the higher coefficient of the two teams involved in undecided ties from the third qualifying round.

Similarly, the League Path involved four winners from the third qualifying round, split into two seeded and two unseeded pairings.

Three bowls were prepared for the draw, containing the names of the seeded and unseeded teams. Balls were drawn from these bowls and shuffled in a central bowl to determine the matchups. The first team drawn was designated as the home team for the first leg.
