US Elections: Barack Obama Labels Trump's Policies ‘Crazy’ in His Rally for Kamala Harris

Esther

Former President Barack Obama, in a fervent rally for Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a scathing critique of Donald Trump's policies, labeling them as "crazy."

Speaking in Pittsburgh on October 10, 2024, Obama addressed a buzzing crowd, drawing sharp contrasts between Harris and Trump. He criticized Trump for his disregard for the Constitution and his tendency to lie and cheat, questioning why people continue to make excuses for such behavior.

Obama's speech was not just a critique of Trump's character but also a call to action, particularly aimed at Black men who he believes have not adequately supported Harris' campaign.

He urged them to vote, emphasizing that sitting out the election is "not acceptable." Obama suggested that reluctance to support Harris might stem from sexism, as some might be uncomfortable with the idea of a woman president.

Throughout his address, Obama dismantled Trump's economic claims, asserting that the robust economy Trump boasted about was actually inherited from his administration. He described Trump's tax plan as a giveaway to billionaires and criticized his trade tariffs as a glorified "sales tax" detrimental to average families.

Obama also mocked Trump's attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, highlighting the irony in Trump's claim of having salvaged it. He pointed out that Trump spent his presidency trying to dismantle Obamacare but failed to present a viable alternative.

The former president's remarks were part of a broader campaign blitz in Pennsylvania, where he sought to energize voters and bolster support for Harris.
