Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has staunchly defended his star striker, Erling Haaland, amidst the team's recent struggles. Despite a challenging period where Manchester City has suffered five consecutive defeats, Guardiola emphasized Haaland's importance to the team.

The Norwegian forward, who has scored just once in his last four starts, remains the Premier League's top scorer with 12 goals in 12 appearances.
Guardiola addressed the media, stating, "I would say the reason for our lack of goals is not Erling Haaland. Without Erling, we would be more in trouble! We are lucky to have Erling. Every game, he has three or four chances."
He expressed confidence that Haaland would soon return to his prolific goal-scoring form, predicting, "Erling will score 2/3 goals in one game soon, you’ll see. He always did that."

The team's current form has left them eight points behind Liverpool in the English Premier League standings and a disappointing 10th place in their UEFA Champions League group. Guardiola attributed part of the team's difficulties to injury concerns and a shortage of wingers, rather than Haaland's performance.
As Manchester City prepares for upcoming matches against Feyenoord in the UCL and a crucial EPL clash against Liverpool, Guardiola's faith in Haaland's abilities remains unwavering.
